Roof covering
The roof-specific permit route is the starting point for a reroof. A small repair needs its own classification; the published material does not establish a blanket repair exemption.

Free roof inspections. Repair and replacement options explained.
Understand Tuttle’s posted roofing permit route, deck-inspection point and the questions that depend on the current project.
Tuttle lists roofing as a permit category and provides its application through MGO Connect. Its posted roofing sheet also calls for replacement decking to be inspected before new covering conceals it. That inspection point belongs in the work sequence when wood is replaced.
The city’s roofing sheet still references the 2018 IRC, while Oklahoma’s state adoption page lists the 2024 IRC effective September 14, 2026. The project’s current code details and classification therefore need to be reconciled before work, rather than copying the old sheet’s construction numbers.

| Published item | The City’s posted information |
|---|---|
| Permit route | Roofing is listed under the City’s permit applications, submitted through MGO Connect. |
| Deck inspection | The posted roofing sheet places the inspection before replaced decking is covered. |
| Scheduling | The sheet requests 24 to 48 hours of inspection notice; same-day availability is not guaranteed. |
| Fee context | The posted January 12, 2022 fee sheet lists a $50 roofing new/replacement line. It is dated context, not a verified current all-in total. |

Replacement deck inspection affects when new covering can be installed. Structural changes are a different scope from exchanging damaged sheathing.
The commercial information sheet describes a separate review process. Whether a roof-only project enters that classification, and any equipment or trade permits, depends on the actual work.

| Project question | What needs to be settled |
|---|---|
| Is the address in Tuttle’s authority? | Use the actual property location. Mailing city and landmark descriptions do not settle municipal jurisdiction. |
| Does a partial repair need a permit? | The repair extent and current local classification need confirmation; no general exemption is established by the retained sheet. |
| Which construction details apply now? | Current state rules and applicable local amendments must be reconciled with the older city sheet. |
| What is the current fee? | The operative fee and applicable charges need confirmation before a total is quoted. |
Yes. The City lists a Roofing Permit and its roofing information sheet includes that permit. The exact classification of partial repairs remains a project-specific question.
The posted city roofing sheet places inspection before replacement decking is covered. Inspection coordination therefore belongs in the work sequence.
No. It is a posted 2022 fee reference. The current applicable charges and project classification need to be confirmed before quoting a total.
Tell us about the roof and any known wood damage. A free inspection is a useful starting point for the scope and its sequence.
